During the Special Sitting of Thursday, 13th June, 2019, the 9th House of Imo State House of Assembly was inaugurated and the following officers were elected:
- 1. Speaker - Rt. Hon. Chiji Collins
- 2. Deputy Speaker - Rt. Hon. Barr. Okey Onyekanma
Presently, the 9th House of Imo State House of Assembly has the following principal Officers:

- (B) Dep. Speaker - Rt. Hon. Chyna Amara Iwuanyanwu (Nwangele)
- (C) Majority Leader - Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi (Owerri West)
- (D) Dep. Majority Leader - Hon Barr. Anthony Emeka Nduka (Ehime Mbano)
- (E) Minority Leader - Hon. Anyadike Nwosu (Ezinihitte Mbaise)
- (F) Dep. Minority Leader - Hon. Barr Frank Ugboma (Oguta)
- (G) Majority Whip - Hon. Chigozie Nwaneri (Oru East)
