Inauguration of Imo House of Assembly
During the Special Sitting of Thursday, 13th June, 2019, the 9th House of Imo State House of Assembly was inaugurated and the following officers were elected:
- Rt. Hon. Chiji Collins (Speaker)
- Rt. Hon. Barr. Okey Onyekanma (Deputy Speaker)
The present 9th House of Imo State House of Assembly has the following principal officers:

- (B) Dep. Speaker - Rt. Hon. Chyna Amara Iwuanyanwu (Nwangele)
- (C) Majority Leader - Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi (Owerri West)
- (D) Dep. Majority Leader - Hon Barr. Anthony Emeka Nduka (Ehime Mbano)
- (E) Minority Leader - Hon. Anyadike Nwosu (Ezinihitte Mbaise)
- (F) Dep. Minority Leader - Hon. Barr Frank Ugboma (Oguta)
