With the aim of bringing Governance and the dividends of Democracy to the people, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has sworn-in 27 Sole Administrators for the Local Government Areas.
Governor Uzodimma tasked the Sole Administrators to bring about the restoration of Local Government administration by ensuring the functionality of every unit, department and agency of the Council; alleviate poverty and reduce high cost of living at the rural areas. They were also charged to midwife the forthcoming Local Government Elections.
The Governor also swore-in 2 Commissioners and 4 members of the Imo State House of Assembly Service Commission. The new Commissioners are Prof. Eugene Ukachukwu Opara and Barr. Jerry Egemba, while members of the House of Assembly Service Commission include, Dr. Lambert Orisakwe (Chairman), Emmanuel Orie, Israel Nnataraonye and Barr. Mike Nduleche.
In congratulating the Commissioners, the Governor said he is optimistic they would add value to his administration.
